My annoying neighbor

Dull,gray hair he has with spikes that look like cactus pricks and

sticks up like he has a storm of his own that shoot his strands of hair on his

pale,bald head.

Eyes are icy blue which look at me, 

as cold as ice as i ride my scooter

as slow as a turtle.

Nose all crooked and warty like a wise wizard that

is in the old days

Old lines all crinkle around his mouth which is

not lush and all dull and gray and pale like his hair.

I found it interesting, because….even the most smart dogs got confused   

It makes me wonder …. why does he/she do that?

I wish I understood why… dogs get confused

My art was 1-way  perspective these are the steps i took to do it

first we had to draw it and it took a very long time because we had to do it 3D.           My old one

then we had to paint it and that took a long time cause we need the right tones and because some of us hadn’t finished check out mine it’s a storm

The Race

Thump,thump,thump that was the noise that I heard from my nest “oh goodness me what was that!” I asked my brother,Sparrow and my sis,Robin “haven’t you heard... said Sparrow “ there’s a race!” finished Robin “ a race! why didn’t you tell me?” I asked” because…..”they couldn’t find a reason “ you didn’t want too”  I finished “we’re sorry Swallow we just wanted to enjoy it yourself” pleaded Robin Swallow didn’t listen she just stared outside the endless wall of twigs “what does it look like outside” I wonder. “ I’m going out” I tell my brother and sister before I know it my brother pushes me out, frighten and heart pumping i flap my wings with all my might I can see the grass stretching after me “ow” I tweet my brother had pushed me on the track! I heard thumps “ah oh” I tweeted as I saw kids streaming at me “ I need to do something” I muttered” and fast!” I look up Robin was staring at me , eyes filled with sadness “ she thinks i'm going to die”I think “ not today” I mutter and look everywhere “there” I tweeted happily there was this long piece of grass so long they wouldn’t see her but it was also long enough that she could get back into the nest with no trouble at all but too get there she had to fly if she hopped then the kids would hit her and probably,kill her she shuddered when she thought that. I got it” she tweet if she fast walked then she would not get hit then she heard the thumping coming closer and louder “here we go” I tweeted I fast hop on too the track “ I should've fly” I thought she was too late “woah ahh ohh” she tweeted when kids dodged her then her eyes filled with horror “ she’s heading stright for me!” I tweeted there was this young girl heading stright for Swallow! but Swallow wasn’t scared of her “ maybe she will help me” Swallow chirp excitedly as she saw the young girl slow down “ oh my what are you doing here you're supposed to be in your nest “ she said I was still frighten but her voice was so soothing and coaxing that I calm down “ don’t worry I’ll help you “ the girl who the others called her Sarah said she picked up Swallow and walked over to the tree “oh it's too high “ she whispered then she looked at me “ can you fly” she asked “ no” i tweet thinking she can hear me but she thinks i said yes “ ok try to fly up there. As I get ready testing my wings and keeping my eyes on the target “ ok go” Sarah said I flap as hard as i can my feet leave the ground “i’m getting closer” I tweet she was so close that she could see Robin and Sparrow suddenly she stop flapping falling hoping that Sarah would catch then she felt claws on her wings I look up on the right is Robin and on the left was Sporrow they had saved me then I realized “ you guys can fly!” I tweet “ we only just found out when trying to save you” chirped Robin as they placed me in the nest I was so happy to be home but there was one question I had.  “sparrow why did you push me out of the nest?” I asked “ because I thought if I pushed you out you would learn to fly but you didn’t we wanted to get you but we didn’t know how to fly im sorry swallow” sparrow said “ no we're sorry Swallow” Robin had said “its ok but lets not do that again. then on year by year I watch the race every year and see sarah who always stops to wave to us and we always chirp back I was loudest I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for her.

DSS NEEDS UNIFORMS!!!!!!!!!

Dear Mr Harrop and the David Street Board of Trustees

Do you hate how you have to get up in the morning and spending ages choosing what to wear? If you do then you will agree with me that we definitely and strongly need uniforms at David Street School.

Firstly I always have to wake up early because I have to decide what to wear. I sometimes have to sleep on the floor because I don’t want to move. I have to have clocks on and phones that have alarms on all the time so that I get up in time to choose my clothes. Sometimes I have to sort out my clothes at nights which means that I waste my time going to sleep and that means that I can get cranky.

Next is that we would look so neat and smart and we would show that we respect our school. Also if we wore the same clothes then there would be less teasing which means less bullying which would mean that more people would come and go to david street school because they would be happy.

Another reason why we should have uniforms at David Street School is there would be less washing which would mean less work for mums because they spend hours on washing our clothes. Also, if we only wear uniforms it will save them tons of time plus they would not have to get so much washing powder. So in the end that will same families money.

For these reasons I stongly believe that this is the right thing For David Street School and that it's the right path choose. I hope and know you will agree with me.

Here is my first attempt this year at persuasive writing

Dear Hekia Parata

RE: Holidays are way too short !!!!!!!

Holidays are too short!. In my opinion we should have three weeks and I know and believe that you will agree with me with these reason I have declared below.

On the first week we can have for sleeping in and staying up late and have the time of your life. The next week we can have friends,family,go and travel and go to the movies.Finally on the last week we can get everything ready like clothes,charging your chromebook and everything else. The holidays would be perfect BUT because we only have two weeks that means we have the one week to ourself but the next week you can't have fun with your family cause you need to get ready for school.

My next reason is the teachers while we go and relax and have hot cakes from Mcdonald's,the teacher have to do work. They have to do the walls,change how the class looks and choose what to do for next term and when they are done the holidays are G-O-N-E-gone! . I also once spotted Miss Simmons in Room three and she was dragging her sleeping bag and holding her pillows. she also had her toothbrush and toothpaste and had her PJs “ how horrible” I thought “ they don’t have a break at all!.

Lastly if you hurt yourself really bad you wouldn’t have any time to recover for example I broke my arm on the last week and I couldn’t do anything. I was command yes command to stay on the couch the whole time. so my holidays where boring and I also wasted all my time I was so upset that I cried till dinnertime so think about it would you rather waste your weekend or have three weeks , have time to recover and do everything?.

I strongly believe that holidays should be three weeks not two! I

hope and know you will agree with me.

Think of and share a time when you have REALLY wanted something or you have DESPERATELY wanted to go somewhere (perhaps you wanted a new part for your scooter, another piece of motocross equipment, a new item of clothing?  Perhaps you wanted a friend to come over, some money to go to the dairy or to be taken to the movies?)  How did you persuade someone to your point of view or get them to agree or give in to what you wanted?  What language did you use?  What did you say?  Did you promise them something in return?

I had to persuade my mum to get me a chromebook

• I had to say things like…
• “but everyone in my class has one.

• “ I will take care of it so good.I will clean the screen and wipe off the dust.
• If you do this then i will not fight to going to bed.
• And i had to change my voice into a casting voice.
• I didn’t persuade my mum but i persuade my step dad because he heard me.

While reading the news, I came across this article about…. a kitten being safed from a house fillled with smoke

I found it interesting, because…. it was so nice

It makes me think of…. when my cat kita got saved

My opinion about  fire fighter saves kitten is that…. im really happy that he saved it.

I really like the way… he patted it when he was getting out of the house.

I’m surprised that… it moved when he poured water on it.

Red foxes live around the world but are popular in forests and grassland. They can also live with people.

Food

Red foxes are really good hunters. They eat birds and rabbits. Red foxes will also eat fruit and vegetables, fish, and frogs. If living with people they will also eat pet food to.

How do they protect themself?

Foxes protect themselves by standing on their hind legs and putting their claws on each other. Then they bite and they growl a lot.

Conclusion

Foxes are amazing animals but also they are endangered. Together we can help them and make a better future so that they don’t go extinct.
